French Reading St Patrick's Day fluency passages for beginners Lecture Fluence
St Patrick's Day themed French reading fluency passages practice cards to improve your students' decoding and pronunciation skills. You will find a general progressive approach, using two basic reading methods : the Vertical and Expansive methods. Meant to be used as a literacy center. Ideal for beginners and independent study for active learners.

♣ Common European Framework of Reference by the Council of Europe - CEFR
- OC.1 : Can understand short, very simple questions and statements, provided they are delivered slowly and clearly and accompanied by visuals to support understanding and repeated if necessary.
- RC.1: Can understand very short, simple texts a single phrase at a time, picking up familiar names, words and basic phrases and rereading as required.
- OP.1 : Can produce simple, mainly isolated phrases.
- PR.2 : Can recognise internationalisms and words/signs common to different languages (e.g. haus/hus/house) to: deduce the meaning of simple signs and notices; identify the probable message of a short, simple text; follow in outline short, simple social exchanges conducted very slowly and clearly in their presence; deduce what people are trying to say directly to them, provided the articulation is very slow and clear, with repetition if necessary.

✒ QUESTIONS/ANSWERS :
1) I noticed various people pronouncing the words in the Vertical method activities . Is it voluntary ?
Due to the sheer amount of audios, students may feel "detached" and lose focus while trying to practice their Vertical method readings. Using different native speakers audios will help them be more alert.
